Our integrated approach merges decades of expertise in substrate preparation with high-efficiency PVD and PECVD processes, along with functional post-treatments. The result: maximum performance through reduced friction, increased wear resistance, corrosion protection, anti-stick properties, and optical functionality.
Vacuum Coating: PVD & PECVD
We utilize both physical (PVD) and plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) techniques to apply functional coatings based on substrate type, thermal tolerance, and application requirements.
- PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition):
Ideal for high-stress components such as cutting and forming tools. These hard coatings offer exceptional hardness, thermal stability (>1,100 °C), and wear resistance.
- PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition):
Suitable for temperature-sensitive substrates like aluminum, plastics, or composites. PECVD coatings are perfect for anti-stick, easy-to-clean, barrier, or optical applications.
Our Coating Systems: MpC®, DC99® und STech®
1. MpC® (Multipurpose Coatings)
Nano-lamellar, highly wear-resistant coatings for a wide range of materials – from aluminum and non-ferrous metals (MpC_3) to high-strength steels and nickel alloys (MpC_2).

2. DC99® – Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) Coatings
Combines high hardness, low friction, and anti-stick properties. Ideal for food processing, fluid systems, and mechanically stressed components. DC99-DII® is food-safe (LFBG/FDA) and offers anti-scale, anti-stick, and easy-to-clean functionality.
3. STech® – Functional SiX Coatings
Scratch-resistant, chemically stable, and optically active coatings for engineering, optics, and decorative applications.
- STech-A® provides anti-reflective and anti-stick properties on smooth, amorphous surfaces.
- STech-C® adds insulating, diffusion-resistant layers with high elasticity.
